About This Role

MDG Flooring America – Kiba Studios is seeking skilled Ceramic Subcontractor Installers to join our team. As a highly regarded installation team, we're committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and modern installation practices. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong track record in ceramic tile installation, from floors to walls and showers. We have multiple locations in Medina, Akron, and North Olmsted and require installers to travel throughout these areas.

  • Our compensation structure is competitive, with piece work rates varying by project type and scope.

What You'll Do
  • We're looking for someone to construct and install ceramic tile with precise cuts and layouts, ensuring a flawless finish.
  • As a member of our team, you'll work with the latest coupling membranes and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Installing wall tile in both wet and dry areas is a key responsibility, and we require a high level of skill and attention to detail.
  • You'll be responsible for building showers, including standard and zero-entry designs, with a focus on quality and functionality.
  • Daily and final cleanup of the workspace is crucial, including effective grout haze removal to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all times is essential to our team's success.
  • Clear and effective communication with project managers, team members, and clients is vital to our operations.

Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle capable of hauling materials.
  • Must have a proven track record in ceramic tile installation (floors, walls, showers).
  • Strong knowledge of current installation methods, including coupling membranes.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Must carry active business insurance and vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to perform precise cuts and layouts.
  • Must have own set of professional tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Experience with zero-entry shower installations is a plus.
