About the Role
Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives on helping engineers and contractors find the right fluid handling solutions? Do you want to represent the "gold standard" in industrial plastics?
At Centrex Technical Sales, we don't just move inventory; we provide high-level technical expertise. We are searching for a motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive growth by leveraging our elite partnerships with industry leaders like Georg Fischer (GF) and Asahi/America.
In this role, you will be the face of Centrex, providing high-purity and corrosion-resistant plastic solutions to a demanding industrial market. If you are ready to transition from "selling products" to "specifying systems," this is your opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Driving Technical Specifications: Actively promote and sell premium thermoplastic piping systems, valves, and actuation from world-class manufacturers like Georg Fischer and Asahi-America.
  • Relationship Engineering: Visit job sites and facilities to build lasting partnerships with engineers, plant managers, and mechanical contractors.
  • Territory Expansion: Identify and develop new sales opportunities through technical prospecting and industry referrals.
  • Consultative Selling: Provide detailed quotes, answer complex technical questions regarding material compatibility, and guide clients toward the most efficient plastic solutions.
  • Internal Synergy: Partner with our internal technical teams and warehouse to ensure project accuracy and on-time delivery for mission-critical applications.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay at the forefront of thermoplastic innovation, market trends, and evolving customer needs.
  • Account Management: Maintain accurate CRM logs, attend sales strategy meetings, and manage your territory with the precision of a business owner.

What We're Looking For
  • Industry Experience: 1-2 years of sales experience, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with industrial plastics, fluid handling, or mechanical systems.
  • Technical Aptitude: The ability to understand and communicate the benefits of high-performance materials (PVDF, PFA, PP, PVC) over traditional metal systems.
  • Communication Skills: A confident communicator who can navigate both a boardroom and a construction site with ease.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on complex project quotes.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM/ERP systems, and digital scheduling tools.
  • Road Ready: Must have a valid driver's license and a genuine enjoyment for being in the field and meeting customers face-to-face.

Why You'll Love Working at Centrex
  • Elite Portfolio: Represents the highest quality brands in the industry (GF, Asahi-America).
  • Competitive Compensation: Robust base pay paired with aggressive sales incentives.
  • Mobility: Company vehicle or car allowance provided.
  • Future Planning: 401(k) with company match.
  • Full Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Professional Growth: Work within a supportive culture that prioritizes technical training and professional development.
