Job Summary


Are you a passionate pet lover with strong leadership skills and a desire to grow in the pet care industry? Central Bark is looking for a dedicated and energetic Assistant Manager to join our team and help lead our thriving doggy daycare facility.


As Assistant Manager, you'll support daily operations, lead a team of pet care pros, and ensure a safe, fun, and enriching environment for our four-legged guests.


Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening/closing procedures
  • Supervise and support team members in daycare, front desk, and grooming
  • Ensure all dogs are safe, engaged, and receiving top-quality care
  • Manage staff schedules, training, and performance under the direction of the General Manager
  • Provide excellent customer service to pet parents – greet, check-in/out, answer questions, and resolve concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas, kennels, and customer-facing spaces
  • Administer medications or special instructions as needed
  • Help plan and promote in-store events and marketing efforts
  • Enforce health and safety protocols for dogs and humans

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in pet care, kennel, grooming, or veterinary environment preferred
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, active environment
  • Comfort working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
