Pet people โ€“ we want you! Happy Paws Pet Resort in Orlando, FL is actively searching for a passionate pet person to add to our Doggy Daycare Attendant team.

Being a doggy daycare attendant isn't just petting puppies โ€“ it's hard work! The perfect candidate will be ready to move their entire shift, be confident in handling dogs of all breeds and sizes, be able to maintain positive/calm energy even when dealing with high-energy dogs and is extremely reliable.

This position earns competitive pay of $14-$15/hour, based on experience. We provide fun benefits and perks, including flexible hours, employee discounts, and the option to bring your dog to work (after 90 days with some limitations). The job

  • The primary goal of the doggy daycare attendant is to ensure a safe & enriching environment for all pets in our care
  • You play an essential part in caring for our boarding pets: feeding, cleaning, walking dogs, as well as caring for our cat guests
  • You ensure the safety of the dogs participating in daycare by taking an active role as pack leader and understanding dog body language
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the facility by following all cleaning procedures daily
  • Following detailed feeding and general care directions for each individual pet
  • Notifying management of any concerns in relation to the pet's health and/or behavior
  • Using proper dog handling techniques to manage a group of 15-20 dogs

Qualifications

  • Physical abilities: this position requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, crouching, lifting, and large dog handling
  • Adaptability โ€“ every day is different!
  • Flexible availability โ€“ we have staff on site 365 days a year (must be available to work holidays and weekends)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

Doggy Daycare Attendant Work Schedule

  • Schedule varies each week (we're flexible!)
  • Shifts start as early as 6:45am M-F, 8am weekends
  • Shifts end as late as 9pm
  • Employees are expected to be available weekend & holidays
