Job Summary:
B&A is looking for a Mid Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. we are seeking a Mid Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist) to support NGA Source operations at NGA Washington (NCE) in Springfield, VA. As an Exploitation Specialist under the GEO-SPI B labor framework, the successful candidate builds automation and data-integration solutions that streamline the collection, transformation, and dissemination of geospatial and intelligence data.
This is a Mid-level (Level 3) position. The individual implements and leads task execution with minimal oversight, may lead smaller teams, and is fully capable of meeting most services without direction. Work products demonstrate consistent, high-quality tradecraft; the individual assists lower-level personnel in developing tradecraft skills and collaborates effectively with Government and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop automation solutions in Python and its data science and visualization ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, Dash, Bokeh) to collect, transform, and disseminate data.
  • Connect multiple databases and enterprise systems to automate data collection, transformation, and dissemination.
  • Automate repetitive business and analytic tasks using scripts and workflows.
  • Gather and disseminate metrics and operational data.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement automation solutions that improve workflow performance.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience: 9+ years of relevant experience in data science, automation, software development, data engineering, database integration, GEOINT support, or related technical disciplines (a combination of education, professional certifications, and technical training may be considered in lieu of some years of experience).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and its data science and visualization ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, Dash, Bokeh, and related libraries.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting multiple databases and enterprise systems to automate data collection, transformation, and dissemination.
  • Experience automating repetitive business or analytic tasks using scripts and workflows.
  • Experience gathering and disseminating metrics and operational data.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement automation solutions that improve workflow performance.
