Job description

Historic Concordia Cemetery is seeking a dedicated and organized volunteer to serve as our Secretary. Founded in 1859, Concordia is one of Buffalo’s oldest cemeteries and is proudly maintained 100% by volunteers committed to preserving its history and grounds.

Position Overview:

The Volunteer Secretary plays a key role in supporting our organization’s operations and communication efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking and distributing minutes from monthly board meetings
  • Monitoring incoming emails and directing them to the appropriate team members
  • Sending donation receipts and maintaining basic correspondence
  • Scheduling and setting up Zoom meetings
  • Assisting with general communications as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, Zoom, document editing)
  • Reliability and attention to detail
  • Interest in local history or preservation is a plus

Time Commitment:

Approximately a few hours per month, including attendance at monthly meetings.
