Maryneal, TX

A leading cement manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer for its Maryneal, TX plant. This position works directly with plant operations to improve process flow, production performance, equipment reliability, and overall operating efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants hands-on experience in a cement manufacturing environment and exposure to both technical engineering and plant operations. Candidates with cement experience are preferred, but engineers with relevant process or heavy industrial experience will also be considered.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyze plant processes and production systems to identify opportunities to improve process flow, efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support process-flow improvement projects throughout the plant.
  • Troubleshoot equipment shutdowns, process interruptions, and operating issues and recommend operational or control changes.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Planning, and Automation Engineering to resolve process concerns and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement routine process and system-flow analysis programs.
  • Train and support plant personnel on process-flow activities and improvements.
  • Coordinate contractors supporting production and process improvement projects.
  • Track costs associated with process-control and production projects.
  • Identify maintenance needs resulting from operational and safety inspections and coordinate work-order requirements with Maintenance Planning.
  • Participate in plant safety meetings and daily inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Support plant operations during routine and emergency needs and provide coverage for the Production Manager when required.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety, environmental, health, and operating policies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of operations experience in cement manufacturing preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and plant operations.
  • Ability to analyze process and equipment problems and develop practical, long-term solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Production, Maintenance, and Engineering.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and comfortable working in a hands-on plant environment.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of environmental, safety, and health requirements.
  • Ability to work in a cement manufacturing environment that may be dusty, noisy, and physically demanding.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including some extended periods supporting other plant locations.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position provides broad exposure to cement manufacturing operations and the opportunity to work directly with Production, Maintenance, and Automation teams. You’ll have the opportunity to improve plant performance, solve real operating problems, lead process improvement initiatives, and develop deeper expertise in cement manufacturing.
