Duties, Responsibilities & Other
The Cell Site integration is responsible for bringing a wireless cell site into service and ensuring all equipment communicates correctly with the carrier's network. This role is common with cellular carriers, tower companies, and telecom contractors supporting LTE and 5G networks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cable installation (fiber, power)
  • Installing, configuring, and integrating equipment
  • Performing site commissioning and on-air testing for new cell sites
  • Integrating LTE, 5G, and legacy technologies into the carrier network
  • Verifying alarms, connectivity, and system functionality after installation
  • Troubleshooting integration issues involving radio, transport, fiber, and backhaul connections
  • Conducting acceptance testing and documenting results
  • Transport tools and materials using company vehicles
  • Maintain company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and operational conditions.
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation, reports, logs, and project records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional relationships with customers and team members.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and federal/state driving requirements.
  • Support additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Other duties when required

Required Skills & Abilities
  • LTE and 5G knowledge
  • Fiber and IP networking experience
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Samsung equipment experience
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, routers, switches, and backhaul networks
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Provide your own active smart phone with the ability to install and support apps as needed for customers and KCI support.

Preferred / Advanced Duties
  • Conduct site surveys
  • Work independently on new site builds, upgrades, and technology swaps.
  • Configure network elements remotely using vendor tools.
  • Mentor junior technicians and coordinate field activities.
  • Support automation, scripting, and network management platforms.

Travel Requirements
  • Extensive regional travel required, up to 100%.

Qualifications
Education and/or Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma/GED or minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
  • Work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
