Core Responsibilities
Operational Excellence in Cybersecurity Tools and Processes
  • Design and implement network and cloud cybersecurity solutions for complex, ambiguous problems.
  • Identify short-term risk mitigation strategies while driving systemic improvements.
  • Support organizational cybersecurity goals and influence team projects with sound technical judgment.
  • Maintain and optimize network and cloud security tools through timely patching, proactive monitoring, and automation of repetitive tasks.

Knowledge & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity
  • 2+ years of direct experience with Cybersecurity tools selection, design, deployment, maintenance, and operations
  • 2+ years of direct engineering experience with Network and Cloud Security solutions (IDS, IPS, WAF, DDOS Mitigation, CDN, SIEM, SWG, SASE, ZTNA, CASB, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of networking and cloud security knowledge & concepts
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, CIS Critical Security Controls, NIST 800-53)
  • Working knowledge of compliance and legal requirements (State and Federal) including SOX, GLBA, GDPR
  • Experience with secure design principles, cybersecurity capabilities, and networking fundamentals
  • Automation experience desired (Python, scripts, Ansible, Salt, etc.)

Education & Certifications
  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity (or equivalent)
