A Customer Data Platform (CDP) is a software system that collects, unifies, and organizes customer data from various sources into a single, comprehensive database. CDPs help businesses create a complete view of each customer, enabling personalized marketing and improved customer experiences. They are designed to be used by marketers and are different from traditional data warehouses or CRMs because they can integrate data from online and offline channels in real time. This allows companies to better understand customer behavior and deliver targeted communications across multiple platforms.
