It typically involves learning safe driving techniques, understanding trucking regulations, and gaining hands-on experience under the supervision of a certified trainer. Many trucking companies offer paid training programs to help students transition into full-time driving roles. Once training is complete and the CDL is obtained, drivers can begin working independently or with a company as a professional truck driver.
