Cheeseman Transport is hiring CDL A Local Dry Van Drivers in Fort Recovery, OH. Drivers will be locally delivering forklifts, tow motors and their parts in 53ft dry van trailers. Compensation

  • Average weekly pay: $1,700
  • Pay based on miles and stops
    • Paid practical miles, paid for all miles loaded or empty
    • Stop pay: $14 - $30 per stop including the first & last stop
      • 5 10 stops per day
  • Average hours weekly: 55
  • Securing pay: $1 per 1000 pounds secured

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Level of Touch: No loading or unloading, must secure freight

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must have hazmat & tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment
  • No felony in the past 7 years
  • No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
