Jamison Professional Services, Inc. ("Jamison") is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Location: Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore, CA DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The selected candidates will support Veterans in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and Community Living Centers while delivering high-quality care that meets or exceeds nationally recognized healthcare standards Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility. Measure and document vital signs. Observe and report changes in patients' physical and emotional conditions. Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises. Maintain patient safety and comfort. Document care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Follow infection prevention and control procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and VA policies. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Adhere to all VA policies, procedures, and professional standards of care. REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Successful completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program. Current, unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification/license. Certification must be active and in good standing. No history of revoked, suspended, restricted, or surrendered certification/license. Minimum two (2) years of recent Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care hospital, outpatient clinic, long-term care, rehabilitation, or comparable healthcare setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS certification or equivalent, if required by the assignment. Certifications must remain current throughout employment Health Requirements Candidates must provide documentation of:

  • Current health screening
  • Annual Tuberculosis (TB/PPD) testing
  • Annual Influenza vaccination (or approved medical exemption)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (or approved medical/religious exemption)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or appropriate documentation
  • Bloodborne Pathogens training
  • Compliance with CDC infection control guidelines

Schedule: 40 hours per week - Multiple Shifts to include: 0700 AM-0330 PM; 0730AM-4000PM; 0800AM-0430PM; 1030AM-0700PM; 1130AM-0800PM; 1230PM-900PM; 0330PM-1200AM.

Contract personnel shall be available and present during normal VAPAHCS hours, which will be established, and may be revised as deemed appropriate for patient care. Currently, normal operating hours are twenty-four hours per day for 7 days per week

Off-hours Coverage: Contractors will not be on-call. Length of shifts: There will be seven different 8-hour shifts. Holidays and Overtime: There will be no holiday or overtime scheduled or authorized for payment. Clearance Level Required: Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background checks, in accordance with applicable law.
