Join Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to fostering healthier relationships with alcohol. In this full-time remote position, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their mental health and recovery journeys, utilizing evidence-based practices to develop personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans. As a key member of our community health clinic, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our members and their families.

About the Organization

Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC serves as an innovative online platform designed to assist individuals in transforming their relationship with alcohol. We provide our members with access to a free anonymous community, therapist-led support groups, and a wealth of resources aimed at equipping them with the support and information necessary for lasting change. Our model emphasizes affordability and accessibility, ensuring that effective, research-based care is within reach for everyone.

Our founderโ€™s unique recovery journey inspired the mission of our practice, and we are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Our vision places importance on not just treatment, but also on celebrating progress and recovery among our diverse community.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to set your own schedule without the constraints of a physical office. You will work closely with a collaborative team dedicated to mental health and recovery, ensuring that you are supported in your role. As you provide counseling, all administrative work, including billing and scheduling, will be managed by our dedicated team, freeing you to focus on your clients and enhancing their therapeutic experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments to develop tailored treatment plans that align with clients' goals and needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, to foster client progress.
  • Manage your availability, allowing for work-life balance while taking on as many or as few clients as you choose.
  • Participate in the development of optional content with our Content Manager to create educational materials and insights.
  • Lead support groups as needed, providing a safe space for mutual sharing and community support.
  • Stay informed about community recovery support options and encourage clients to engage with resources like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and SMART Recovery.
  • Represent Branches of Growth at community events and within peer groups as required.
  • Encourage a harm-reduction approach, tailoring discussions around moderation and abstinence based on client preferences.
  • Access regular professional development opportunities, including continuing education units (CEUs) covered by the organization.
  • Engage in monthly peer group meetings to foster professional growth and collaboration.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult clients who are seeking assistance with substance use concerns, particularly alcohol-related issues. Clients may vary in their desired approaches to recovery, from complete abstinence to harm-reduction strategies. It is crucial to maintain a flexible, empathic approach to meet the diverse needs of our community members.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced education in psychology or social work is preferred.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to demonstrate significant clinical engagement skills, showcasing empathy and understanding in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with harm-reduction principles and the ability to discuss various recovery pathways with clients.
  • Understanding of community recovery support options and how they complement our treatment services.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with clients in a telehealth or remote environment is a plus.
  • Previous involvement with community health initiatives or recovery support programs.
  • Experience leading workshops or support groups within therapeutic settings.
  • A track record of integrating innovative practices to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, supplemented by a signing bonus and the potential for performance-based incentives. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, contributions to a retirement plan, and generous paid time off to ensure that our team members can maintain their personal well-being.

You will also have access to professional development resources, which include training and continuing education to support your career growth.

Career Growth Opportunities

Working at Branches of Growth opens doors to numerous opportunities for personal and professional advancement. You will be part of a forward-thinking organization that values ongoing education and supports innovative practices. Engage with research and publication collaborations within the field of mental health, setting the foundation for your growth trajectory as a leader in the industry.
