Job Description

BeVera Solutions is seeking a Section 508 Accessibility Specialist to support accessibility compliance across web content, downloadable files, presentations, graphics, and related digital products. This role will help ensure the website and supporting materials meet Section 508 and HHS accessibility expectations. The specialist will review content for accessibility issues, perform remediation, provide guidance to content and design teams, and document correction needs as part of the publishing workflow. This role is directly tied to the RFI’s requirement to maintain the highest 508-compliance standards and matches BeVera’s experience remediating PDFs, presentations, and captioned content. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to BeVera Solutions, LLC.

NOTE: Position Contingent upon award of contract. This role is part of a pre-award candidate search for an upcoming federal government contract.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review website content and digital deliverables for Section 508 accessibility compliance.
  • Remediate or support remediation of PDFs, slide decks, graphics, and other posted materials.
  • Assess reading order, tagging, alt text, captions, headings, and other accessibility elements.
  • Coordinate with content, design, and technical teams to resolve accessibility issues before release.
  • Track remediation status and support accessibility documentation as needed.
  • Advise project staff on accessible content practices and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accessibility, digital communications, instructional design, IT, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Section 508 compliance for digital products.
  • Experience remediating PDFs, presentations, forms, and other communications materials.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG, accessible document practices, and captioning requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal accessibility programs.
  • Familiarity with accessibility review tools and remediation workflows.
  • Experience with HHS, CDC, or public health content environments.
