Specializing in high-tech systems, cloud-based software services and audio/video solutions for thousands of businesses, schools and properties in the greater New York Metropolitan area, POM's diverse client roster comprises a wide range of prestigious and well-known organizations. Founded in 2002, POM has handled more than 2,000 site installations, primarily focused on large offices, retail, hospitality, health care, education, and real estate (commercial, luxury residential and hi-rise).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide security system installation and support services to Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of scope of work.
  • Perform Service and Installation of Access Control, Alarm, CCTV & Intercom systems.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs as necessary on security systems.
  • Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality utilization.
  • Perform computer program entry as required to add CCTV cameras, access control and intrusion alarm systems as needed.
  • Prepare site documentation for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information.
  • Program and Configure Head-end control panels and systems
  • Direct field technicians in installation of cabling and device set up and wiring
  • Dress, terminate and test cables and components
  • Deliver effective commissioning of security systems to satisfy all quality requirements and aid in support of handoff to the Security Service team.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in installing, programming, training in Electronic Security Systems,i.e. Access Control, Alarm, CCTV and Intercom systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast growing division.
  • Ability to work with power tools and ladders.
  • Ability to complete tasks according to schedule and communicate with supervisors.
  • Knowledge of building construction, ability to read/understand floor plans and riser drawings.
  • Strong communication, customer service skills and neat personal appearance.
  • High level of self-motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative.
  • Strong team player who can communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work effectively in high pressure situations.
