Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Neshaminy School District!

  • PAY RATE - $22 per hour and progresses to $26.50 per hour (w2 employment)
  • OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS - Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening

SUMMARY:

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a field employee position providing one-to-one and small group emotional support and behavioral interventions to children/adolescents in a school setting.

SCHEDULE:

  • PCAs will work on all student days, full day, during the academic calendar year
  • High School hours: 7:15am - 2:15pm
  • Middle School hours: 7:55am - 2:55pm (5th - 8th)
  • Elementary School hours: 8:50am - 3:50pm (K - 4th)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities, helping them participate in classroom activities, manage behavioral interventions, manage personal care, and access to educational environment as it aligns with the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
  • Implement timely interventions focusing on behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and enhancing peer interaction skills, according to the goals outlined in the IEP or positive behavioral support plan set by Special Education team.
  • Gather daily data and maintain progress notes in the designated format for each session with the child or adolescent.
  • Offer direct assistance to students to fulfill their academic, social, emotional, and/or personal care requirements.

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma OR equivalency
  • Experience working with school aged children - preferred
  • Experience with autism and / or other special needs - preferred

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:

(CCRES paid clearances & TB screening)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI
  • TB Screening (within 3 months)
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcript
