Job Description:
Client is seeking an experienced Cisco ISE Network Engineer will be working on innovative network design and operation
supporting our Social Security Administration customer. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and be a part of a first-class
organization working on complex, leading edge network technology. In this role, the selected individual will be responsible for
providing engineering expertise for complex multi-service networking.
The identified Network Engineer is responsible for engineering, and supporting of the network design, deployment and operations
for a large government customer located in Baltimore, Maryland. This position requires from 25% to 50% travel to our customer site
located in Baltimore, MD. This selected individual is required to be onsite 2-3 times a per week, as needed by our customer. What you will do:
Analyze current network configurations and determine implementation requirements.
Configure routing protocols, complex switch networks, and Fabric Path configurations
Prepare network equipment for deployment by loading appropriate software and configuration setting according to preengineered design templates.
Assemble required equipment, cables, adapters, etc. and arrange delivery to site for installation.
Upgrade configuration of existing network equipment to support new features and functions.
Work with field installation contractors while they are on-site and provide all technical details to complete installations.
Continually review the customer's network and practices looking for opportunities to enhance network functionality,
performance and reliability.
Assist in the evaluation of potential network products or technical solutions.
Test LAN/WAN and WLAN equipment software (i.e.: IOS, NXOS)
Contribute to the development of network documentation, including diagrams, standards, specifications and operating
procedures.
Monitor for opportunities to enhance the customer network/system performance or reliability.
Monitor for opportunities to improve the customer service delivery practices.
Perform on-going management of network installation and upgrade projects and maintain deployment schedules.
Provide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to Government customer and Peraton management.
Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology.
Understand Network requirements of remote customer offices, campus buildings, and Data Centers. Define equipment,
cables, adapters and configurations needed to upgrade buildings and sites to established standard. Basic Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
BS/BA with 8 years of experience, MS/MA and 6 years experience or 3 years with PhD, or High School Diploma and 11 years
of related experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Must have 4 years of experience administering and using the Cisco ISE platform
Must have 4 years of experience in a System Administration discipline with experience administering VMware vCenter,
Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
A minimum of 4 years experience with Cisco router and switch configuration commands and configuring network
authentication using the TACACS and RADIUS protocols.
A minimum of 4 years experience configuring management tools using to use the SNMP protocol
as well as Microsoft Active Directory user account administration
A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Python scripting language
Must have Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.
Must be located into commutable distance to Baltimore, MD office to support on-site role requirements 2-3 times a week
with our customer
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Passed Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional Enterprise Core exam within the last two years.
A minimum 4 years of experience writing Python scripting language and Regular Expression
A minimum 5 years of experience implementing Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) product in a large multi-data centers and
enterprise environment.
A minimum 5 years of experience deploying Cisco Virtual Private Network product such as Cisco ASA and Cisco Wireless LAN
in a multi office and large campus environment.
At least 5 years of experience working with physical media and equipment associated with each wired and wireless
networking.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management
and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
