Position Overview
The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise networking, data center modernization, identity-driven access, and observability platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco ACI, Cisco SDA, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst platforms, and large-scale enterprise network architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI data center fabrics
Configure and support Cisco Nexus, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, ESGs, L3Outs, and contracts
Integrate Cisco ACI with OpenShift VMM and Cilium/Isovalent
Deploy and support Cisco Catalyst and Software-Defined Access (SDA) environments
Administer Cisco ISE for TACACS+, NAC, authentication, authorization, and endpoint profiling
Manage Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, security policies, and threat protection
Deploy and support ThousandEyes, Cyber Vision, and DNA Spaces platforms
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues including OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, and multicast
Create network architecture documentation, standards, diagrams, and operational procedures
Support modernization initiatives, platform upgrades, and statewide technology projects
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of Cisco networking experience
Hands-on Cisco ACI experience in production environments
Strong knowledge of ACI constructs:
  • VRF
  • BD (Bridge Domains)
  • EPG / ESG
  • L3Out
  • Contracts
    Experience integrating ACI with OpenShift VMM and Cilium/Isovalent
    Experience with Cisco Catalyst platforms and SDA technologies

    Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, QoS, and network security expertise
