We're seeking a highly organized and action-oriented full time team member to support the execution of administrative activities related to providing QualiTech customers with superior service and support our upcoming rebrand marketing initiatives. Right candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly manage multiple priorities. This role will ensure consistent messaging across various channels. This could be a great opportunity for an entry level candidate to gain experience in multiple departments in one role.

Position Summary:

The Sales CCA/Agronomist will maintain, reestablish, rebuild and grow QualiTech's market presence, develop new business, and achieve sales goals throughout the Northern and Central California agricultural markets. The role requires a commercially focused agronomist from the region who can use established retailer, distributor, CCA/PCA/Agronomist, and grower relationships to gain rapid market access, introduce QualiTech products, place relevant field trials, rebuild distribution, and accelerate sales.

Territory Development Priorities:
  • Bring an established regional network. Active, credible relationships with retailers, distributors, CCA/PCA and Agronomists, and high-value crop growers in the two primary valleys are a central qualification.
  • Open doors and create revenue quickly. Secure introductions, account meetings, trials, product adoption, and access to key decision makers through existing relationships and local credibility.
  • Maintain and grow existing relationships. Strengthening relationships within QualiTech’s current retailer network, support existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and increase product adoption and sales.
  • Rebuild market presence. Reengage inactive business, develop independent retail partners, generate grower pull-through, and convert opportunities into measurable sales.
  • Own the territory plan. Within 90 days, prioritize the retailers, growers, crops, acreage, and geographic opportunities most likely to produce near-term sales and sustainable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed annual sales, gross margin, new-business, and product-mix goals; maintain an accurate pipeline, forecast, accountancy, trial status, and next actions in the company CRM.
  • Develop and execute a written rebuild plan centered on the Sacramento and Northern San Joaquin Valleys, incorporating Fresno-area and coastal opportunities as appropriate.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new distributors, retailers, and grower businesses while expanding product use and sales within existing accounts.
  • Build distributor pull-through and grower demand for QMIN and Q-Bio products by communicating clear agronomic and commercial value.
  • Work with CCA/Agronomists and growers to develop crop nutrition programs; interpret soil, tissue, and water analyses; and troubleshoot crop nutrition and product-use questions.
  • Train and support distributor sales teams and growers using product knowledge, company trial data, field experience, relevant research, and sound agronomic principles.
  • Plan, place, document, and communicate commercially relevant field demonstrations and trials that support product differentiation and sales growth.
  • Support distributors with technical materials, trial data, training, inventory visibility, sales-order coordination, and timely customer follow-up.
  • Attend approved grower meetings, field days, retailer events, and industry conferences to educate the market and generate qualified opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence and collaborate across sales, agronomy, operations, marketing, quality, and regulatory teams; manage expenses within budget and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, plant science, soil science, crop science, plant nutrition, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum five years of successful agronomic sales, crop consulting, or specialty plant nutrition experience; 10 or more years of regional experience is strongly preferred.
  • Established retailer, distributor, CCA/Agronomist, crop-adviser, and grower relationships in the Sacramento Valley and Northern San Joaquin Valley
  • Strong knowledge of regional production, including almonds, walnuts, pistachios, stone fruit, processing tomatoes, rice, vegetable row crops, and other high-value specialty crops.
  • Ability to develop fertility programs, interpret soil, tissue, and water reports, and communicate practical value-added recommendations.
  • Strong consultative-selling, relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, follow-up, CRM, forecasting, and written communication skills.
  • Active Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) certification or equivalent credential is highly desirable; ability to travel approximately 50%, including Fresno-area and coastal California coverage as needed.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time
