Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Corporate Trade Compliance Manager role. Our client is a well-established manufacturing industry leader known for innovation, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality products across global markets. With a strong focus on growth and continuous improvement, they are seeking a hands-on trade compliance professional who can help drive efficient international import operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage day-to-day U.S. import compliance operations, ensuring adherence to CBP, CBSA, and international trade regulations.
· Work directly with customs brokers, freight partners, warehouse operators, and internal teams to resolve shipment-level issues proactively.
· Oversee import documentation accuracy, tariff classifications, duty management, and customs compliance processes.
· Ensure compliance related to ADD/CVD regulations, Section 301 tariffs, USMCA/CUSMA requirements, and other applicable trade programs.
· Support bonded warehouse operations and identify opportunities to legally minimize duty exposure and improve efficiency.
· Partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand imported materials and maintain accurate trade documentation.
· Monitor changing trade regulations and communicate compliance impacts to internal stakeholders.
· Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives related to global trade operations.
· Maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, government agencies, and logistics providers to support smooth import activity.
· Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce compliance risk.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required; trade compliance/customs certification or related credentials highly preferred.
· 8+ years of hands-on experience managing import operations and trade compliance.
· Strong experience working directly with U.S. import regulations, customs brokers, and international shipping operations.
· Experience importing goods from China is highly preferred.
· Practical knowledge of ADD/CVD, Section 301 tariffs, USMCA/CUSMA, and related customs regulations.
· Bonded warehouse experience is a significant plus.
· Experience within manufacturing, solar, industrial, or related environments preferred.
· Strong understanding of international logistics, customs documentation, and shipment-level problem solving.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
