Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-4, 35 hours
Salary: Starting at $20.00/hr.

General Description
Under the general supervision of the lead employment case manager, the employment case manager is responsible for engaging individuals in job readiness related activities to obtain the skills necessary in preparing for future employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with the following cases as outlined within the interorganizational design of the employment program:
  • Recipients (A-M) or (N-Z), code 41/42 and possible other codes, as assigned
  • Non-compliant recipient management.
  • WEP, HSE, ESL and Job Search assignment.
  • Worksite development.
  • Completes bi-weekly client list for receiving gasoline and submit for payment to finance.
  • Ensures that all gas stations are notified of current clients receiving gas (Fax, drop off, call in to each station).
  • Meets with WFD when needed to ensure design is working.
  • Meets with DSS examiners as needed.
  • Comply with all contract requirements.
  • Utilizes process of contacting each client through
  • Telephone call (if number available);
  • If phone call is not successful a home visit is completed.
  • If client not home, a letter is generated and printed on site and left addressed to client -or-
  • A second attempt at both 1 and 2 may be needed depending on circumstances.
  • Once contact is made with clients, individual appointments are set to continue meeting and engage clients regularly.
  • Places participants in an appropriate work site within county, based on individual need using referral system CMS.
  • Engage all participants in employment activities to help them become work ready.
  • Supports Client Employment Plans- ensuring they are updated regularly.
  • Ensures CMS case notes reflect change in case status as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Participating at agency functions as appropriate.
  • Attends mandatory training.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: High School diploma
Experience: 1-2 years of case management experience in a human services setting
Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.
