Job Description
Join our dedicated faculty and help nurture the musical and spiritual growth of our students at Immaculate Conception Catholic School!
Immaculate Conception School is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Elementary Music Teacher to inspire students in Kindergarten through 8th grade with a love for music. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive music curriculum that fosters faith, musical growth, creativity, and an appreciation for liturgical music in a Catholic school environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Teach general music classes to students in grades K-8, incorporating a variety of musical genres and instructional methods.
  • Integrate music theory, vocal performance, rhythm, movement, and basic instrumental instruction into lessons.
  • Plan and direct school-wide musical performances, concerts, and liturgical celebrations, including Mass music.
  • Instill an appreciation for sacred music and guide students in developing their musical talents in alignment with Catholic traditions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary learning and enhance school events with music.
  • Maintain an engaging and structured classroom environment that fosters a love for music and learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and administration regarding student progress and performance opportunities.
  • Uphold the mission and values of Immaculate Conception School, fostering a Christ-centered learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching license (preferred).
  • Experience teaching music to elementary-aged students (preferred).
  • Strong vocal and instrumental skills, with the ability to teach a variety of musical styles.
  • Knowledge of Catholic liturgical music and traditions (preferred).
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to Catholic education and the ability to integrate faith into the music curriculum.
Salary and Benefits
Immaculate Conception School's salary scale for this position considers years of licensed experience and educational attainment. For the 2025-2026 school year the salary range for qualified candidates $10,000 - $15,000.
