The Cath Lab Technologist III is accountable for the supervision of the room staff's performance, coordination of the room's schedule, and communicating with the Cath Lab management team to ensure the efficient utilization of resources. This position also performs duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. Cath Lab Technologist III must demonstrate an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment, and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure. The focus of the Cath Lab Technologist III position is to assure optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.

What You Can Expect

  • Interpret data gathered during procedures, and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications as it relates to cardiovascular diseases.
  • Operate physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other room staff and schedule coordinator to maximize the productivity of the entire department.
  • Train and educate new employees in the cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Operate the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures.
  • Provide assistance to the Provider performing the procedure.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Associate's Degree in Radiology
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Radiology
  • 1 year in x-ray technologist preferred
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association within 1 year
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - within 90 days

Travel is required: Up to 20%
