Job description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist works closely with the interventional cardiologist to perform cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing-in for the surgical portion of the procedure, circulating within the procedure room to organize and perform the non-sterile portions of the procedure, and operating the radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce the images of the procedure. Has knowledge of and is competent in the emergency room skills and surgical skills to maintain a safe environment in the procedure room and assist in the patient care. Provides education, support and Cath Lab and IR procedure competencies to imaging staff. The Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist also maintains skills in interventional radiography to provide cross-coverage and supplemental staffing as required.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited college or school of Radiololgy Technology.
  • Certification and current registration as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
  • Current New York State Department of Health Diagnostic X-Ray Machine Operator License required
  • 3-5 Years of previous experience in Vascular Lab or Cath Lab.
  • 2 years minimum in Vascular, IR or Cardiac Cath Lab inventory management.
  • Obtain RCIS Certification within 2 years of hire.

Salary: $33.78-$49.35 an hour
Full-time, Monday - Friday w/on-call responsibilities on evenings and weekends
