Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital team in Montgomery, AL as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while enjoying the experience of a new location. Assist physicians and cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate advanced medical equipment to capture images and hemodynamic data.


Minimum Qualifications

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
  • Interventional Cath Lab experience required. Facility will accept candidates with 1 year of interventional Cath Lab experience; diagnostic-only experience is not acceptable.
  • Experience with STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacers.
  • Experience with scrub and pan table workflow, groin site management and monitoring, medrad power injectors, and pacemaker procedures.
  • State specific licensing when required.
  • RCIS from CCI preferred but not required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • RCIS certification preferred.
  • Experience with EP, vascular, PE, hybrid/structural procedures such as pacemaker implantation, lead revisions/extractions, peripheral interventions, carotid cases, Inari/EKOS, Watchman, TAVR, and PFO closures.
  • Familiarity with advanced cath lab devices including Impella, IABP, Rotablator, FFR, IVUS, laser lead extraction, and EKOS.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: .
  • Shift pattern: 3x12.
  • No floating required.
  • Orientation: 24 hours classroom for new or returning travelers gone 1+ years; 1–3 clinical shifts of unit orientation as needed.
  • Support: Cath Lab Coordinator/Supervisor, 24/7 RT, 24/7 hospitalist, on-call cardiologist, RRT/Code team, daytime transporter for recovery area.

As a traveling Cath Lab Tech you will provide specialized procedural support that directly impacts patient outcomes. Work in a Level II trauma center with a Level III NICU and a Primary Stroke Center, supporting 4 cath lab rooms and a cardiovascular recovery area for non-ICU patients. Typical daily case volume ranges 20–25 patients, with access to hospital resources including advanced hemodynamic monitoring and PACS.
