American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with SC or compact RN licensure and rotating call requirements.

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology department, including IR holding
• Care for adult patients with a variety of disease processes in a procedural setting including pre and post care
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, typically 4x9.5 hour shifts (7:00-16:30) with occasional 5x8 shifts as needed
• Rotating call required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Call requirement is 1-2 days per week and every third weekend, with a 2 hour response time
• Typically see 1-3 cases per week while on call
• Uses Meditech EMR, experience preferred but not required
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital

• Active SC RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Required skills include IV starts, circulating, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Hemodynamic monitoring and PACS experience preferred
• Experience with procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, sheath removal/monitoring, and vascular closure systems preferred
• TB test required

• Provide nursing care for cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures, including pre- and post-procedure patient management
• Floating required within the hospital in accordance with facility floating policies and clinical experience
• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates with background hits or licensure actions will not be accepted by the facility
• Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be considered
• Minimal to no RTO approved; any time off requests must be discussed prior to assignment start
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
