Schedule
4 x 10 hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating days off. Includes 1 night of call during the week and 1 weekend of call from Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM every 4th weekend.
Job Description
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during procedures in the Diagnostic Interventional Department, accommodating varying patient needs across Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
  • Competently operate interventional imaging equipment and related machinery.
  • Verify and execute physician's orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
  • Assist the Interventional Cardiologist, Vascular Surgeon, or Interventional Radiologist as the first assist.
  • Set up sterile trays and maintain the sterility of the room.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure the proper preparation for exams.
  • Consult with radiologists regarding contrast media applications and ensure exam quality.
  • Perform quality improvement studies and document patient care activities accurately.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including Cath and EP experience in scrubbing and paning the X-Ray table.
  • Required certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License.
  • Certifications in AHA, BLS, and ACLS are mandatory.
