Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 24 months of recent cardiac cath experience and a compact or Iowa RN license.

Details
  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a hospital setting
  • Perform peripheral and coronary angiography cases
  • Perform PCI and pacemaker procedures
  • Utilize fluoroscopy equipment
  • Preferred experience with Impella, Acist Injector, iFR, and IVUS equipment
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required at time of submission
  • IL RN submissions must have an active IL RN license plus an Iowa RN license or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA or ARC required
  • ARRT or RCIS/CCI certification required
  • Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy required
  • Proficiency and comfort with peripheral and coronary angio cases required
  • Proficiency and comfort with PCI and pacemaker procedures required
  • Iowa Radiology license highly preferred, with option to apply upon offer acceptance
  • Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
Additional Information
  • Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
  • Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Winter holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Limited to 1 requested day off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 regardless of holidays worked
  • Local radius rules may apply depending on the facility
