Job description

JOB TYPE: Part-time

JOB SUMMARY:

The responsibility of the Catering Server is to ensure a smooth experience for our catering patrons through knowledgeable and professional service at a variety of events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service for catering guests
  • Serve as a competent waiter at banquet events
  • Accurately and neatly pre-set events according to specific directions and thoroughly clean up after events are ended
  • Understand and communicate event details as appropriate to relevant staff and clients
  • Maintain organized and professional appearance
  • Work with constituents of Pioneer and the seminary including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests. Must be professional and accommodating within the established guidelines. This will require self-confidence, respect and knowledge while working with guests.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION:

The person in this position should have some basic schooling, preferably a high school diploma.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience is not necessary. The position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual. Will train.
