We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Catering and Events Manager.
Position Summary:
The Catering and Events Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the planning, coordination and execution of meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions. This role serves at the primary liaison between the client and hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, seamless execution, and memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, sales-minded, creative and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue Generation
  • Proactively sell and manage catering and event business to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs)
  • Conduct Site tours and client consultations.
  • Upsell food and beverage, audiovisual, décor, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Any additional duties designated by AGM or GM.

Event Planning and Execution
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients during events
  • Ensure accuracy and communication of all event details to culinary, banquet, AC and hotel operations teams
  • Conduct pre-event meetings (resume meetings) and post-event reviews

Operations and Collaboration
  • Partner closely with sales, culinary, banquets, front office and engineering teams.
  • Maintain strong communication to ensure flawless execution
  • Monitor event setups, timelines, and service standards
  • Ensure events comply with brand standards, safety regulations and local laws.

Financial and Administrative
  • Manage contracts, deposits, billing, and final invoicing
  • Forecast catering revenue and contribute to budgeting efforts
  • Maintain accurate records in the sales and event management system
  • Track event profitability and cost controls.

Guest Experience and Relationship Management
  • Build long-term client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Handle client feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Represent the hotel and management company at networking and community events.

What are the requirements for this position?
  • 2-4 years of catering, events, or hotel sales experience (hotel experience is strongly preferred)
  • Proven success in event sales and execution
  • You have at least a high school diploma with a college degree preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends)
  • Proficiency in sales and event management systems (Delphi, Opera, CITY, TripleSeat or similar preferred)
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and banquet service standards.

Physical Requirements for this Position
You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight
