POSITION OVERVIEW

The Category Manager is responsible for providing data-driven, actionable insights to key partners by leveraging a combination of macroeconomic, industry, and category-specific factors. This role enables customers to integrate current trends into effective strategies that drive category growth and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead customer line reviews by presenting compelling, data-backed proposals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze POS and macroeconomic trends to uncover performance insights and growth opportunities
  • Review retail pricing to identify opportunities for retail partners
  • Articulate clear plans around category positioning, product segmentation, and strategic initiatives
  • Present POS, pricing, and macroeconomic trends in compelling ways that drive customer engagement and decision-making
  • Collaborate with sales and customers on strategic initiatives
  • Periodically engage with customers to provide recommendations for market performance improvement, including presenting market trends and competitive insights
  • Think creatively and provide innovative, data-driven solutions to category challenges
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
  • 5+ years of experience in category management or sales within the automotive aftermarket
  • Demonstrates exceptional business acumen
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across internal teams and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
