JOB SUMMARY

The Front Office Representative I role at Catalyst Physician Group will be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in ensuring a positive and seamless patient experience. This is an entry level role designed for individuals beginning their career in healthcare administration. This role is responsible for greeting patients, managing check ins and check outs, answering phones and providing excellent customer service. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally and and consistently create a positive patient experience
  • Phreesia registration
  • Accurately check patients in and out using the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Collect and verify insurance information and patient demographics
  • Collect co-pays and balances at the time of service
  • Answer incoming calls and direct messages appropriately
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits according to protocol
  • Coordinate rescheduling, cancellations, and no show follow-ups
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits in advance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team
  • Adhere to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of related experience in a customer-facing or administrative role
  • Athena EMR experience
