  • Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo
  • Department: HIM Scanning
  • Work Schedule: Part Time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  
  • Shift: Days 
  • Pay: 19.10 - 24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Performs clerical duties and technical skills associated with medical record scanning.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.
  • Assembles and maintains complete medical records.
  • Scans medical records accurately and timely.
  • Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
  • Preferred: Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
  • 1 year of experience in patient health information or medical records scanning.
