Job description

Job Summary
THIS INFORMATION IS FOR CATALINA ISLAND POSITIONS ONLY.
Please note: Employees who work or reside on Catalina Island shall receive Branch Assignment Premium (BAP) compensation. The BAP is due to Catalina Island being listed as a rural California community and as an island, it is remote and detached from mainland California. Employees will receive an additional $4.2247 to their hourly payrate for the BAP.
Testing for this position will take place at the Avalon School located on Catalina Island.
Catalina Island is located 22 miles southwest of the Los Angeles Harbor Breakwater. Employees must live on the island, and/or arrange for their own transportation to and from the island. (Daily round trip boat cost to Catalina Island is approximately $91).
JOB SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, assist in quantity preparation, packaging and serving of hot and cold menu items at an assigned school site or the central kitchen; assist in maintaining nutrition service facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition; perform related duties as assigned.
