Do you have what it takes to LEAD a 3-4-PERSON CONSTRUCTION CREW? CAT Scale is a growing company hiring a hardworking, dedicated Construction Foreman to join our elite team, traveling across the United States for 2-3 weeks at a time to maintain and repair our 2,300+ CAT Scales.
Successful Foremen are great teachers who like to coach and mentor a diverse team of Laborers, helping them to learn the trade. We offer a great salary and benefits package that pays you year-round. You will have the security of earning a paycheck, whether you are on the road or at home enjoying your time off.
As a Construction Foreman, you will lead and work with all different types of people, including your laborers, maintenance crews, other foremen, subcontractors, and customers. Foremen will encounter all types of tasks, including but not limited to: concrete work and repair, scale deck repair, trenching for conduit, and the use of all kinds of tools, all while learning how to maintain CAT Scale equipment.
Requirements
  • 2 years of proven experience leading a crew
  • 2+ years of professional concrete experience
  • Must live within a 2-hour drive of CAT Scale headquarters in Walcott, Iowa.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, lead, motivate, and work with all types of people
  • Responsible for the protection and maintenance of physical equipment and company assets
  • Able to work successfully under limited supervision
  • Must be accountable for your actions, be detail-oriented, and take initiative to complete projects
  • Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend over for long periods
  • Work outside during all types of weather.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or 2-3 weeks at a time, throughout the United States
  • Ensure all safety guidelines and organizational best practices are always followed.
  • Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and other equipment is a plus.

License
  • Valid Class A CDL, OR a clean driving record, and eligibility to obtain
