Product Engineer

We are looking for a Product Engineer to support manufacturing operations and help improve processes, tooling, and product quality. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on problem solving, working with cross‐functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in a production environment.

Position Overview

The Product Engineer will work closely with production, quality, and tooling teams to support manufacturing processes, improve product performance, and ensure consistent quality. This role involves developing procedures, solving production issues, and supporting new technology implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and construction of dies, gages, and tooling for cores, patterns, and castings
  • Analyze production data to identify issues and improve process yields
  • Work with tooling suppliers to ensure quality and cost‐effective solutions
  • Maintain dimensional quality standards and ensure products meet customer requirements
  • Create and update internal job instructions and process documentation
  • Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies
  • Audit production lots to ensure consistency and repeatability
  • Prepare reports and summaries based on testing and data analysis
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support production goals
  • Contribute to cost‐reduction and labor‐efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or product engineering
  • Experience in casting or similar manufacturing is required
  • Strong understanding of statistics, Six Sigma, Lean principles, and GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and models
  • Proficiency with engineering software (NX/UG, SolidWorks, GOM, Minitab) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Professional, team‐oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency
