Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Kingman, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will primarily focus on implementing Meltshop production and process improvements using analytical tools, data, and teamwork and to develop and execute actions.  This includes cost reduction and process optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with Melt Shop Operations, Maintenance, and Metallurgical personnel to optimize our melt shop processes and meet division goals with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, cost, and productivity. Every Nucor teammate has the safety of themselves and others as a value.  Considering this, all candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.  

Preferences:
  • Prior experience in process improvement through analysis.
  • Prior experience in failure analysis and corrective action process.
  • Knowledge of the melting and casting process.
  • Visual Basic and SQL programming competency
  • Experience with control, operation, and optimization of EAF, billet caster, material handling equipment, and robotics.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in applying engineering principles with a focus on process control in a manufacturing environment
