Position Summary
The Cage Cashier I is responsible for safeguarding company assets while accurately processing financial transactions for guests in the casino cage. This position balances assigned cash drawers, performs cashiering and Player's Club services, and maintains strict adherence to internal controls, gaming regulations, and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming
  • Safeguard company assets and maintain accountability for assigned cash drawer
  • Balance assigned bank accurately at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Cash gaming chips, tokens, and other approved gaming instruments for guests
  • Redeem slot machine payout tickets (TITO vouchers) and other approved cash equivalents
  • Process personal check, cashier's check, and traveler's check transactions in accordance with company policies
  • Perform cash-in and cash-out transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Process debit card and electronic funds transfer (EFTPOS) cash advance transactions
  • Perform rolling chip exchanges and other approved cage transactions
  • Provide Player's Club services, including issuing new and replacement cards, updating guest accounts, and resolving Player's Club inquiries
  • Process guest account transactions while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate, legible balancing documentation and transaction records
  • Assist Cage Supervisors with maintaining accurate shift records and financial accountability
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company, financial, and guest information
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient guest service at all times
  • Follow all company policies, internal controls, and federal, state, local, and gaming regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and cash-handling accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License

Preferred:
  • Previous gaming, banking, casino cage, or financial institution experience
  • Previous cash-handling experience in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with casino management systems or Player's Club systems
Certification Requirements
  • Nebraska Gaming License (required and must be maintained)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during scheduled shifts
  • Frequent use of computers, cash-counting equipment, and currency handling
  • Frequent handling of currency, chips, vouchers, and financial documents
  • Ability to perform repetitive cash-handling and balancing tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment while maintaining concentration and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership
Schedule
  • Travel is not required for this position
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods based on operational needs
