Position Summary
As the face of the company, cashiers provide fast, friendly, and accurate services for our customers through our POS system. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as someone in this position will be handling payments in the form of cash and providing change. Knowledge of restaurant products is essential, as the cashier will be responsible for assisting our customers with questions and suggestions. Cashiers will also be responsible for keeping work area neat and tidy, restocking items as needed, and cleaning lobby and dining areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Greeting and acknowledging every customer as they enter
  • Providing excellent customer service by being fast, patient, attentive, and using clear and positive communication
  • Maintaining knowledgeable of products and promotions
  • Upselling when appropriate or requested by management
  • Accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions
  • Maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
  • Ensuring cash drawer is balanced at the end of shift
  • Calling out customers’ orders when they have been completed
  • Keeping work area neat and clean, restocking items as needed, and cleaning lobby and dining areas
  • Inventorying supplies and goods
  • Handling customer concerns and finding a solution or when appropriate bringing in a manager
  • Communicating customers’ requests to management
  • Troubleshooting POS problems
  • Performing other duties as assigned
