Job description

Looking for a self-motivated individual that throughout the day will almost continuously wash trucks and trailers. As a food distributor, ensuring the sanitation of inside the trailers for the next load is critical for food safety, and a clean exterior helps with promoting the company. You will work in a fast-paced yard with a short turnaround time for getting Trucks and Trailers ready to go back on the road and have the opportunity for overtime as well!

Work Hours: Sun-Thurs 6pm-5am (general schedule)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Wash Bay Duties(Primary Focus)
    • Washing out trailers
    • Wash tractors and trailers
    • Wash any parts needed for repairs
    • Act as back-up shag driver when needed
  • Fuel Driver Duties (Secondary Duties)
    • Drive trucks and trailers to and from the Fuel Island in a safe and efficient manner, to include both manual and automatic transmissions
    • Fuel trucks and trailers
    • Review trucks/trailers for repair needs and document such needs
    • Thoroughly and accurately perform all required record keeping, most of which is done electronically
    • Park in correct location when completed

Physical & Environmental Aspects:

  • The ability to frequently crawl in/out of trucks and trailers
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions at times

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to work independently
  • Reliable
  • Some computer experience required
  • Able to drive an automatic and manual transmission in heavy duty trucks
  • CDL license preferred

Required Education:

  • High school or equivalent
