The Senior Accounting Analyst - Payroll & Treasury is a critical role within the Accounting team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll-related financial reporting while supporting core treasury and cash management operations. This role sits at the intersection of Accounting, Payroll Operations, and Treasury, with ownership of payroll accounting (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and controls) and execution of electronic payments and cash processes.
This individual will serve as backup to payroll operations while playing a key role in managing cash disbursements, payroll funding, and banking activities. The role is essential to ensuring payroll and payment activity are accurately recorded, controlled, and executed in a scalable manner.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
Payroll Accounting & Operations
  • Assist with payroll and benefits accounting close process, including journal entries for wages, bonuses, commissions, and benefits
  • Prepare and maintain payroll accruals (earned wages, PTO, and variable compensation)
  • Reconcile payroll reports from Workday and third-party providers to the general ledger
  • Maintain detailed subledgers and rollforwards for payroll-related accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between Workday, Cloudpay and Netsuite
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Serve as backup for U.S. and international payroll processing using Workday and Cloudpay
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries
  • Support year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation

Treasury & Payment Operations
  • Execute electronic payments, including payroll funding, tax payments, and other disbursements (ACH, wires)
  • Manage daily cash activity, including monitoring bank balances and coordinating funding requirements
  • Prepare and perform bank account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
  • Maintain strong internal controls over payment approvals, segregation of duties, and banking access
  • Support cash forecasting by providing payroll and disbursement-related inputs
  • Partner with Accounting and FP&A to ensure accurate recording of cash transactions
  • Assist in managing banking relationships, account setups, and signatory updates
  • Support implementation and optimization of treasury systems and payment platforms

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll accounting, treasury operations, or general ledger accounting
  • Experience with Netsuite or similar Accounting Systems
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Experience with banking platforms and electronic payment processing (ACH, wires)
  • Strong Excel skills and understanding of reconciliations and cash flow
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification preferred.

The Base Salary range for this role is:
$76,650-$85,000 USD
