Professionals in Cash Operations often work within banks, financial institutions, or large corporations, ensuring that all cash-related transactions are efficiently processed and properly recorded. Their responsibilities may also include monitoring account balances, preparing reports, and collaborating with other departments to optimize cash management. This role is critical for maintaining liquidity and supporting overall financial stability.

To thrive in Cash Operations, you need a strong understanding of financial processes, attention to detail, and proficiency in reconciliation and cash management, often supported by a degree in finance or accounting. Job description

Loop is industrializing services through AI, starting with one of the world's most complex industries: the global supply chain. We're an AI-native company built to solve the systemic data problem that's held logistics back for decades. Our Logistics Data Platform turns fragmented, unstructured data into a trusted foundation that fuels automation, financial clarity, and decision intelligence at scale. Today, Loop serves >20% of the Fortune 100, manages over $30B in supply chain spend, and helps its clients save hundreds of millions of dollars each year.
We recently closed a $95M Series C and are backed by leading investors including Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, 8VC, Index Ventures, J.P. Morgan, and more than 50 industry-leading angel investors.
Our team brings deep expertise from Uber, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Flexport, C3 AI, VMware, Box, UPS, and C.H. Robinson and we're looking for builders who want to help shape what comes next.
Loop is seeking a Head of Payments to build and lead our client payments and treasury function as we scale. Reporting to the CFO, you will own liquidity and cash management, banking relationships, capital structure, and financial risk management - ensuring Loop has the financial infrastructure, controls, and visibility to operate with confidence across a global, multi-currency footprint. As Loop manages tens of billions in supply chain spend, you will also help shape how payments and cash flows move through our platform, partnering across Finance, Operations, and Product to bring treasury rigor to everything we do.
This is an in-person role based in one of our US-based offices, with the expectation of being onsite 4+ days per week.
What You'll Do
  • Build and lead Loop's treasury function, setting strategy, policies, and controls for liquidity, cash management, and financial risk
  • Own day-to-day cash operations, including all wire, ACH, and bank transfers, and authorize payments within approved limits
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to identify and drive initiatives to continuously automate and scale treasury systems, reporting, and payment infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to optimize liquidity, working capital, and short-term investments
  • Manage banking relationships and credit facilities, negotiating terms, fees, and services as Loop scales
  • Manage foreign currency exposure and conversions across a global, multi-currency footprint, implementing hedging strategies where appropriate
  • Establish and enforce Loop's investment policy and oversee the short-term investment portfolio
  • Partner with Accounting and Product to ensure cash flows moving through Loop's platform are accurately recorded, reconciled, and controlled
  • Strengthen internal controls over treasury operations and serve as the primary treasury contact for internal and external audits
  • Provide treasury reporting and insights to executives, the Board of Directors, and investors

About You
  • 10+ years of progressive treasury or cash management experience, including building or leading a treasury function
  • Deep expertise in liquidity management, banking, cash operations, and financial risk management, including multi-currency environments
  • Strong analytical skills and experience building cash forecasting and treasury models
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels, including with executives and the Board
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experienced in geographically distributed direct people management, with a passion for coaching staff and unlocking individual potential
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) and/or CPA is a plus
  • Experience at a high-growth technology, fintech, or payments company is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $200k-$265k annually. This range reflects the base pay that Loop reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of hire. Actual compensation will depend on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus and equity. This role is also eligible for Loop's benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, flexible, unlimited paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave.
Equal Opportunity
Loop is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
