OVERVIEW

The Assistant Cash Manager supports the Cash Manager in daily cash management operations and serves as a reliable backup in the Cash Manager's absence. This role is responsible for monitoring daily cash needs, administering certificates of deposit, maintaining banking relationships, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate recording of cash activity within the SAP accounting system.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Cash Manager with daily cash management activities and act in their absence as needed.
  • Determine daily cash needs, including the investment of excess cash or redemption of funds to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain and update cash and stock investment portfolios.
  • Administer all Certificates of Deposit (CDs), including completion and submission of required banking documentation.
  • Track certificate of deposit interest activity and investigate discrepancies.
  • Download prior-day bank activity from banking platforms and resolve discrepancies.
  • Initiate wire transfers, book transfers, stop payments, and maintain bank account documentation and signatory records.
  • Maintain deposit records and complete monthly reconciliations.
  • Accurately post cash management activity into the SAP accounting system.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and bank representatives.

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the banking industry.
  • Experience with banking products such as zero balance accounts, lockboxes, positive pay, and sweeps.
  • Experience with Access and/or FoxPro databases preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Writer preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Banking, or Accounting. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
