ATS is seeking a professional with the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to provide case processing at the SSA facility in Atlanta, GA

Internal Medicine, Family Practice, General Practice, or Osteopathy
Any Active U.S. Medical License Accepted

Summary of Candidate Qualifications
Duties include performing case processing at the SSA facility in Birmingham, AL. These medical records and case folder will be viewed, processed and stored electronically. Interaction with disability reviewers, adjudicators, medical providers and other staff is required; however, there is no contact with the claimant nor is there clinical responsibility. The physician will: review medical and non-medical evidence of record; identify and interpret medical records, applying SSA disability policies and procedures without incorporating personal biases or prejudices; consult with staff and others as needed for review of case; record findings in the agency electronic system; attend required meetings, briefings and workgroups to perform case reviews; provide a satisfactory written assessment; if necessary, correct any case reviewed returned to the physician as a result of quality control. Travel may be required for non-case services occasionally and SSA will provide travel reimbursement. This may include presentations, consultations, workgroups or other similar meetings.

Licensure
Open to Internal Medicine, Family Practice, General Practice, Primary Care, Osteopathy or Pediatricians. All personnel shall be board certified by their appropriate health care discipline, when required. Maintain current, active and valid license from any US state, District of Columbia or US territory to provide health care within the scope of practice for a specific health care discipline. Must be a US Citizen with clean malpractice history. Providers with previous disability program experience preferred but will provide orientation for physicians.

Availability
Hours will be between 6:00 AM 10:00PM, Monday Friday, no holiday, no call, no weekends. There is flexibility in scheduling between these hours due to the nature of the work and that providers may have other responsibilities.
