These roles often require advanced skills, extensive experience, and sometimes certifications, and they may involve freelance or contract work with variable schedules.

What qualifications do I need to be a care navigator?

To become a case manager navigator, candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, with many roles preferring a bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare, or a related field. What is the difference between a navigator and a case manager?

A case manager, including a case manager navigator, coordinates and manages services for clients, often in healthcare or social services, ensuring they receive appropriate resources. A navigator typically focuses on guiding clients through complex systems, such as healthcare or social programs, helping them access services efficiently; in some roles, a navigator may have a more specialized or outreach-focused function. Both roles require strong communication skills and knowledge of available resources, but case managers often handle ongoing case planning and follow-up, while navigators focus on initial access and system navigation.
