PCM Educator Summary
The Patient Care Management Educator covers all hospital and inpatient Case Management education needs. This position will monitor case manager licensure and certifications, orientation and skill day checklist, outreach to new employees, new employee logins, portal logins, ACMA yearly competencies, auditing, and onboarding of all new hospital Case Management employees. The PCM Educator will provide analysis and feedback on performance and compliance to PCM leadership. Within Patient Care Management they will collaborate with PCM leadership in the on-going re-design and re-engineering of Case Management functions to meet the changing needs and priorities of the health system, as well as Medicare Conditions of Participation. The PCM Educator will perform educational needs based on standards set by the American Case Management Association's Standards of Practice and Scope of Services and will participate in PCM committees/staff meetings as well as attend and contribute to Population Health committee meetings.
PCM Educator Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN) required.

License and/or certification:
  • Currently Registered Nurse licensure in State of residence, Maryland or Delaware.
  • Certification in nursing specialty required within two (2) years of hire, CCM or ACMA.
  • Credentialed EPIC trainer certification for specialty area required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Member of an accredited Case Management professional organization.

Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in Case Management, Utilization Review, or other related area.
  • Experience with electronic EMR required.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations in a group setting is required.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Leadership or Management experience preferred.
  • Experience with teaching adults and teaching clinical education is preferred.

PCM Educator Schedule
  • Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
  • Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • Shifts are variable based on educational need.
