Job description

This is an active, hands-on role for someone who wants to make a real difference in young people's lives. The Case Manager helps remove barriers for inner-city young adults, primarily ages 18–24, working toward two core goals: helping students earn their high school diploma (or equivalent) and land real-world, paying jobs. Students attend daily, and the Case Manager manages a caseload of around 20, providing consistent day-to-day support including teaching life skills and monitoring students' daily online computer work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Student Support
  • Greet and support students during daily attendance
  • Teach life skills sessions
  • Monitor and support students during daily online computer work
  • Provide daytoday coaching to help students stay on track toward their diploma and career goals
  • Intake & Orientation

    Build and maintain participant files

    Coordinate Mental Toughness orientation activities (workshops, trainings, team-building)

    Ensure each student has a measurable Individual Service Strategy (ISS) plan within 30 days, using Mass CIS or similar tools to identify career interests and goals

    Coaching & Case Management

    Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, coordinating weekly with academic/vocational instructors to support credential attainment

    Use trauma-informed, positive communication strategies to help students meet ISS goals

    Oversee referrals for legal, housing, health, and family support services

    Respond to program inquiries and follow up with prospective BTE/PA students

    Qualifications

    High school diploma + 7 years' relevant experience with at-risk/diverse young adults, OR

    Associate degree in Human Services (or related) + 5 years' experience, OR

    Bachelor's degree in Human Services (or related) + 3 years' experience

    2–4 years working with diverse young people

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Strong Microsoft Office skillsSpanish fluency a plus

    Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    Schedule: 7:45 AM–3:45 PM

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand/sit for extended periods, move between floors and offices, bend for filing, and travel locally (by T, car, or foot) for offsite activities and field trips.
