Job description

The Project Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support to Project Managers in the planning and delivery of renewable energy installation projects, including commercial solar, battery storage systems (BESS), and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This role supports day-to-day project operations, manages project documentation, prepares project materials, and develops foundational project management skills in preparation for advancement to a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support to Project Managers across active renewable energy installation projects.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages, ensuring all records are accurate, current, and properly filed.
  • Prepare, format, and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and client-facing communications under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, and action items; follow up with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met and escalate issues to the Project Manager as appropriate.
  • Support project budget tracking by assisting with purchase order coordination, invoice processing, and expenditure monitoring in collaboration with Project Managers, accounting, and supply chain teams.
  • Coordinate logistics for project activities including scheduling meetings, arranging site visits, and communicating with subcontractors and vendors as directed.
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems and ensure document control standards are followed across all assigned projects.
  • Learn and apply project management methodologies and tools under the mentorship of Project Managers, actively developing toward full project ownership over time.

Experience:
  • 2โ€“5 years of administrative, coordination, or project support experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant internships or coursework will be considered.
  • Prior experience in Commercial Rooftop Solar, Canopy/Carport Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or EV Charging Infrastructure is extremely beneficial but not required. Consideration will also be given to experience in similar industries such as telecommunications, transportation, or other specialized development and construction.

Pay: $30 - $40/hr
