About This Role
SpartanX is seeking a dependable and organized Permit Runner to support residential solar permitting and operational coordination across active markets.
This role is responsible for assisting with permit-related field activities, supporting permitting operations, and helping maintain communication between AHJs, homeowners, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, organized, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines throughout the day.
This is a field-based operational support role that plays a critical part in helping projects move efficiently through the permitting process.
What You'll Do
  • Deliver permit applications and supporting documentation to AHJs and permitting offices
  • Pick up approved permits and related project documentation
  • Deliver permits and project-related paperwork to homeowners when necessary
  • Assist with obtaining permit requirements and operational information from new AHJs and municipalities
  • Coordinate with permitting, scheduling, installation, and operations teams to support project timelines
  • Maintain organized records of permit activity, documentation, and jurisdiction requirements
  • Assist with tracking permit statuses and follow-up communication when necessary
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, city offices, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Support operational teams with permit-related errands and field coordination tasks
  • Maintain professionalism and organization while representing SpartanX in the field
